Aftermarket and low-volume vehicle parts are a natural fit for CNC machining: volumes are too small for casting or forging tools, and parts often need tight fits and an anodized finish.
Typical parts
- Brackets, mounts and adapter plates
- Spacers, bushings and sleeves
- Shafts, pins and threaded fittings
- Levers, caps and covers
- Prototype parts for new vehicle components
Choosing the process
Round parts such as pins, spacers and shafts suit CNC turning. Brackets, plates and housings with features on several sides suit 4.5-axis milling. Many parts need both.
Materials and finishes
Aluminum alloys keep weight down and anodize well for color and corrosion protection. Alloy steel is used for parts under high load or wear. Specify heat treatment and finish on the drawing.
About our shop
Chi Xin Technology is a CNC machine shop in Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan, founded in 2022. We run 5+ CNC machines — 4.5-axis CNC machining centers and CNC lathes — and mainly machine aluminum alloys and alloy steel, with a metal tolerance of 0.02 mm. We also offer wire EDM and surface finishing including anodizing, and we export to customers in Europe and North America.
Frequently asked questions
Can you make one-off prototypes for vehicle parts?
Yes. We machine prototypes as well as production runs.
What tolerance do you hold?
We machine metal parts to 0.02 mm. Mark critical tolerances on your drawing and we will review them with you.
